Evernote web clipper chrome does not work

Hi. Beginning December our OneNote Clipper that we had been using successfully for more than a year stopped working. When you go to clip anything from the web whether in Chrome or Edge it clips it, thinks about it, then says "something went wrong - try clipping page again".

Mine hasn't worked for a long time. It's been greyed out ... until today when, in Chrome, it's working again as normal. I've been having to use the Clearly tool as my only means of saving whole anything (no selective clipping), and trimming down in the Evernote note. HI, I have win 7, Chrome ver Version 27.0.1453.116 m, clipper version 5.9.16, when I click on the clipper icon I either get nothing at all (mostly), can not sync page, waiting for page.
